I do not believe in counting calories. At the same time, I know that calories count. The magic trick we are all searching for is how to make the weight disappear without constantly keeping track of and cutting our consumption.

Like a magic trick often has a slight of hand, weight loss has The Slight Edge. This is a book by Jeff Olson and if you have not read it, I highly recommend it. It is not even a book about weight loss, but it gets to the heart of the best way to lose weight in my experience. How do you gain the benefits of calorie counting without counting calories? Simple.

Very simple. You accept that calories count and make strong, but small, positive choices one choice at a time. Instead of counting your choices, make your choices count. What do you do with all that extra time you have since you are not logging your consumption? Log your gratitude. Count your blessings.

Counting blessings instead of calories,

Nikola Rosa
