Do you have things you want to do, goals, plans, dreams, hopes, but they seem out of reach? Do you want to live a more adventurous or exciting life, but you do not know where to start, or worse yet, you don’t see how it is possible at all?

It is possible!! Absolutely, positively. Whatever you want to do, you can. It’s two steps, repeated over time. The first step: Envision what you want, and make a plan of action with simple steps in an order to get you where you want to be, and two: completing an action toward that end. Then another, then another. It will come to fruition. It is just a matter of time. Circle back around to the first step as needed to review how your plan is working and making course adjustments to your action plan as needed along the way. Last, if you take action after action and when you review, you realize what you envisioned is not what you want after all, turn around, stop the train, erase the vision and plan, and create a new vision. Repeat. It really is that simple.

In the last four years, I have done a lot of things:

• I have completed a rugged maniac, completed the New York City Marathon, and climbed the tallest building in the western hemisphere. I have become a gym junkie and a regular dance fitness participant.
• I have lost 40 pounds.
• I have travelled with my kids as a grief-stricken single parent to Atlantis, on a Disney Cruise, to Great Wolf Lodge, and much more. I have taken my kids to fly in a wind tunnel, to sit VIP at the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Charlotte, to Cirque Du Soleil, and much more. I have taken my son to unfurl the flag on the football field at the Giants’ home opener last year.

All these things cost money, time, and in some cases a whole lot of courage. I guarantee you though, there is nothing special about me that allowed these magical experiences to happen (besides God). It was one thing, and one thing only: A choice. I made a choice to do them. I took a risk. I made a commitment that sometimes seemed impossible and sometimes irresponsible. These experiences, even the ones you might call a dream vacation, were never easy, not a single one of them. They were hard in logistical ways, financial ways and emotional ways. Yet these experiences model for my kids the way I want them to live…grab life by the reins, dream big, and work hard to make your dreams come true. And never…ever…give up.

If you want to change careers, follow me and read The 4-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss and The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. Needless to say, going from being a Special Agent to a Writer and Entrepreneur has not been an easy task. And I am not done. I am going through it right here with you; in front of you. I have big goals too. I know how it feels and I know it is not a straight line from here to there. It is a process, and it could be a long process, but it is worth it.

If you want to quit drinking alcohol or give up caffeine or discover sugar free-dom, follow me. I write on these topics as well.

Let it be said that if you do make a plan of action steps, the sooner you do an action from the moment of the plan’s inception the better. The more likely you are to succeed. So start today!

And no, I am not rich. I am not some self-proclaimed six-figure or eight-figure e-Coach who has all the answers like a miracle worker. I make no such claims. On the contrary, I am a real person who has really been pursuing goals my entire life with my share of successes and failures, blessings and tragedies, and I struggle in all the ways you do, including limited financial resources. I can tell you, if your argument is “I don’t have the money,” I challenge that head on. That is bologna.

We all have limited money just like we all have limited time. We just choose to spend these resources in different ways. If you want to travel, but do not have the money, my company Liv can help you do it for less money. The money is not the limitation. Our belief system, attitude and choices are the only limitations. Choose to change these things. As Zig Ziglar said, “It is our attitude, not our aptitude, that determines our altitude.”

Whatever your goal is, pursue it. Pursue it like you’re running for your life. Because you are. Your purpose, your place, your career, your experiences, your best body, your best health…they are waiting for you. Your life depends on it.

Live like you mean it,

Nikola Rosa
